Welcome!
I’m Dr. Rachel Harris, a general dentist practicing in central Massachusetts.
I’m looking to take the next step in my career by buying a dental office. My goals are to provide high-quality dental care and become part of a local community.
I hope this website gives you an idea of who I am and what my goals are.
Background
I was born and raised in Westboro, MA. As a kid, biology was my favorite class because it explored the “how” and “why” of living things. I moved to Cleveland, Ohio to study biology at Case Western Reserve University, graduating summa cum laude.
I returned to Massachusetts for dental school, earning my DMD at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. I chose to pursue dentistry because it combined my love of biology with getting to meet and work with people all day.
After completing dental school, I completed a dental general practice residency (GPR) at the Brown University Medical School/Rhode Island Hospital, providing comprehensive, specialty and emergency oral health care.
I joined Millbury Family Dentistry in 2023 as an associate dentist. I’ve enjoyed meeting new people, working with an awesome team, and practicing high-quality, comprehensive dentistry.

Dental Interests
I believe in treating people not teeth. I practice dentistry as I would want it done in my mouth: high-quality treatment and as comfortable as possible.
I also advocate for top-notch oral care for all. In dental school I was ASDA Advocacy Chair and a member of the MDS Practice Benefits and Advocacy Committees. I spearheaded successful efforts to reform dental licensure, ensuring improved patient care for all.
Personal Life
I live in Waltham, MA with my boyfriend Luis. He is a cancer researcher in Cambridge. In our free time we enjoy exploring local neighborhoods and trying new restaurants. I also love to read (I’m a member of two book clubs!), and I enjoy any activities involving the water, including swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking.
Buying a Dental Office
As I alluded to earlier, it’s really important for me to provide the highest-quality dental care I can. I believe that by buying a dental office, and keeping private practice private, I’ll be able to do this. Being a practice owner will allow me to spend more time with patients and use better materials, leading to better outcomes.
